Milk producers donate blood

Employees, herdsmen, as well as milk distributors donated blood at a highly successful blood donation day recently held at Malta Dairy Products Ltd.

The response was so positive that the visit had to be extended to accommodate all donors who were constantly flowing into the conference hall at the MDP Administration Block, which had been transformed into a blood donation unit. MDP chairman John Pace said: "We are pleased to note the keen response with which our people met this initiative. Their response is testimony to values embraced by MDP, highlighting the sense of social conscience that exists within the organisation".

The Blood Donation Mobile Unit regularly visits various localities around Malta, seeking to recruit new blood donors. Organisations interested in holding such an activity may contact the Malta National Blood Transfusion Centre on 2123 4767 or 2206 6201.
