World Aviation Group launches new portal
World Aviation Group (WAG), one of Malta's leading aviation and travel support services operator, has launched its corporate website at www.worldaviationgroup.eu. The website represents an online global support centre where a range of support services are provided mainly to the air and travel industries.
The homepage introduces the group's core activities and lines of business. The sub-sections address outsourcing solutions provided by the different business units ranging from contact centre services to revenue accounting and back-office services. A recruitment module is also integrated in the new website.
Dominic Attard, group chief executive officer, said: "The website is an essential pre-requisite to build strong ties with our clients. It is also the main resource to offer the range of airline support services in the international market place.
"Challenged by the continued evolvement of the air transport industry, many legacy and low-cost airlines are diversifying peripheral business interests to cut costs and focus on core functions to provide competitive services. We are in the game of providing competitive solutions to air carriers and other travel operators which would allow them to reduce costs and improve their service standards to their customers coupled with efficient back-office activities".
WAG is a joint venture between Air Malta plc and Cassar Aviation Services Pty Ltd of Australia. Formed in Malta in 1989, the group started out as a general sales agency representing several international airlines in Malta.
Over recent years this business has been transformed into an international operation and transformed into a global GSA network, with partnerships in Asia, North America, North Africa and Australasia. In 2006, a multi-lingual contact centre (seven languages) was launched and this has now been supplemented by a business process outsourcing operation.
The group is undergoing a major development phase as evidenced by the proliferation of its international support services for the air transport and travel industry. The launch of this website will be the main resource to support the group's reach in the global air transport and travel industry.
