Middlesea launches new health schemes

Middlesea Insurance plc has launched a new range of health insurance schemes which are easier to understand, more flexible, and offer customers several alternatives designed at various premium levels to suit all pockets.

The new schemes are designed to meet customers' individual needs and provide three levels of cover, with the first two valid in Malta only. The third provides cover worldwide, except the US and Canada.

To make its schemes more accessible to a wider section of the public, the company is also introducing cost-reducing options which allow premiums to be significantly reduced when the Basic Scheme (in-patient cover only) and Hospital Scheme (In-patient cover only) variations are chosen.

The Basic Scheme (in-patient cover only) and Hospital Scheme (in-patient cover only) variations provide full insurance protection for hospitalisation as an in-patient. By opting not to be covered for out-patient treatment and consultations, buyers could still have the peace of mind that they are covered for expensive in-patient treatment.
