The Malta Institute for Computer Sciences (MICS) is offering courses leading to the EBC*L certification.
The European Business Competence* Licence (EBC*L) is an established business qualification certificate that demonstrates that the holder has the core knowledge needed to enter the business world; be able to run any department/division where financial decisions are involved; control and manage the financial aspects of a project; and start up a new business.
The certificate demonstrates business management expertise at an internationally recognised level. The EBC*L is currently established in 23 countries and is available in a number of languages.
Level A syllabus includes modules in business objectives and management ratios; accounting; costing and pricing; and business law.
Level B certificate is also available and contains more modules. The exam has a two-hour paper. Successful candidates obtain a certificate from EBC*L International and the Council for Business Competence in Europe.
Training courses to sit for the EBC*L exam are provided by MICS. Training only takes place at their premises as MICS are accredited partners of EBC*L.
The course covers 58 hours. However, students may choose to attend lectures for specific modules only or follow the course through e-learning modules.
MICS is a fully registered training institute with the Education Ministry. MICS is a Microsoft IT and Cisco Networking academy as well as an official centre for ECDL (at both core and advanced levels) and Equalskills.
