Speakers stolen from youth group premises

Żgħażagħ Ħaddiema Nsara (ŻĦN) has condemned the theft that took place earlier this week at its main premises in Floriana.

Two large speakers recently acquired by the organisation for the Akustika concert held in March were stolen. These would have been used in forthcoming projects such as the annual Strummin' Home. A police report was filed immediately.

ŻĦN President Albert Debono said: "It is not so much what was stolen that is my main concern. It's the unease that there are young people in our country that are prepared to steal from other youths - and to even steal resources from those who work tirelessly for a better society. This goes against the spirit of what constitutes being a young person, full of life and positive energy".

The Christian youth organisation appealed to young people to join it by contributing in any way they can - for example by playing a musical instrument, by helping in the organisation of events or by joining any of its sections. Also, anyone can help ŻĦN by sending a blank SMS on 5061 6116 to donate €1.16, 5061 7360 to donate €2.33, 5061 8061 to donate €4.66 and 5061 9204 to donate €11.65.
