Help with child upbringing

Aġenzija Appoġġ is reaching out to families in need of assistance in the upbringing of their children through its support service Home-Start.

A number of families from the Cottonera area and from Żabbar, Żejtun and Fgura, are receiving support from Home-Start Malta, given by 16 trained volunteers all of whom are parents themselves.

Home-Start offers assistance to parents who, for some reason or another, feel overwhelmed by their situation and difficulties such as illness, multiple birth, lack of support network, disability, isolation or lack of childcare skills.

Home-Start originated in the UK in the 1970s and started in Malta in 2006. It is being run by a management committee with the help of Aġenzija Appoġġ.
