Charged with injuring teacher
A 26-year-old man yesterday pleaded not guilty to slightly injuring a teacher at the Naxxar public secondary school on Thursday.
Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera heard Don Axiaq, from San Ġwann, plead not guilty to slightly injuring Andrew Cauchi inside the school.
Mr Axiaq, who also pleaded not guilty to threatening to use violence against Mr Cauchi, was granted bail against a personal guarantee of €1,000 (Lm429.18).
Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted.
Lawyer Anġlu Farrugia was defence counsel.
