Man injured in another construction site incident

A 65-year-old man from Birkirkara was injured in a fall this morning in Sliema, the police said.

The man was working in a residence undergoing renovation when the incident happened. He fell a height of one storey, but his injuries are not life threatening.

MINE APPEARS THE 1ST COMMENT ON THIS REPORT. WHAT DOES IT SHOW? LACK OF INTEREST OR A FEELING OF HOPELESSNESSES? I BELIEVE I HAVE NEVER SEEN A WORKER WEARING SAFETY GEAR WHILE ON A SITE LOCALLY. I SHUDDER EVERY TIME WORKERS APPEAR IN A PRECARIOUS POSITION. THEY SHOULD BE THE FIRST TO PROTEST. IN A COUNTRY WHICH IS SO LOUDLY PRO-LIFE, I DETECT A HINT OF HYPOCRICY.
