Man denies attacking teacher

A 26-year-old man this afternoon pleaded not guilty to causing slight injuries to a teacher at Naxxar boys' secondary school. The incident allegedly happened yesterday.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera heard Don Axiaq from San Gwann, plead not guilty to slightly injuring Andrew Cauchi inside the school or threatening to use violence against him.

Magistrate Scerri Herrera granted Mr Axiaq bail against a personal guarantee of €1000 (Lm429.18).

Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted.

Lawyer Anġlu Farrugia appeared for the defendant.
