Gatwick exceeds punctuality targets

British Airways has exceeded its punctuality targets at Gatwick Airport, recording its best performance since 2005 Of the 13,000 British Airways mainline departures from Gatwick over winter, 83 per cent departed within 15 minutes of their scheduled departure time, which is the industry standard.

In addition, customer satisfaction levels are also reaching new heights with improved ratings from passengers, particularly for the check-in and departure process at Gatwick, where the airline now operates 43 bag drop desks including customer assisted check-in, and 29 self service check-in kiosks.

By the end of the summer British Airways will operate to a total of 59 domestic, European and long-haul destinations from Gatwick. British Airways is launching a dozen new routes to European hotspots from Gatwick this summer, with new flights to Alicante, Antalya, Faro, Genoa, Gibraltar, Ibiza, Malaga, Malta, Palma, Paphos, Poznan and Tunis.
