Vandalised road signs to be replaced

The Malta Transport Authority will be replacing road signs in Rabat that were damaged after being repeatedly shot at.

A spokesman for the authority told The Times yesterday that the ADT's emergency architect was informed of the vandalised signs late on Monday afternoon and a police report was filed at the Rabat police station.

The authority said it had no reports of further damage.

A picture of one of the signs, of which two are known to have been damaged, was carried in yesterday's The Times.

The police had no information about the vandalism.
