Illegal hunting and trapping

I would like to point out that illegal hunting and trapping are being practised all over the Siġġewi countryside, especially near the Laferla cross, Tal-Providenza church and Tal-Ħesri valley area where some hunters can be seen daily in the early morning.

I would like to point out that illegal hunting and trapping are being practised all over the Siġġewi countryside, especially near the Laferla cross, Tal-Providenza church and Tal-Ħesri valley area where some hunters can be seen daily in the early morning. Why is the government still not taking the issue seriously? Why does it not increase the number of Administrative Law Enforcement officers? Surely they know that with the present number of officers these lawbreakers cannot be prevented from continuing to massacre birds.

One can also see numerous bird trappers breaking the law around Dingli cliffs. I am sure that the European Union will order the Maltese government to stop spring hunting once and for all but again the local authorities have to take action themselves.

I urge the Maltese people to report the illegalities happening right in front of their eyes to the ALE section or BirdLife. We must carry on fighting these lawbreaking people. I am sure that we will prevail in our goal, even if we do not have firearms like they have. We are not living in the prehistoric era where might was right.
