Marsascala council told to remove 'illegal' footway

Marsascala council has been told by the Malta Transport Authority to remove an illegal footway extension to Triq San Gwakkin within two weeks.

The authority said in a letter to the council that should the area not be reinstated within 15 days the authority will carry out the works itself and bill the council.

Can the Malta Transport Authority do the same witrh the Attard Local Council regarding the roudabout located near the American Ambassador's Residence. Several letters have demanded action but it seems to the majority of citizens that public authorities continuously use discriminatory measures when defending citizens' rights. When are public servants going to grow up and act independently of the political class? Why do we have so many untouchable gods on this island?
