Where were the policies that the leaders and administrators of the Labour party were meant to be preparing for the last five or 10 years? Where was the constructive criticism? It was their duty to uncover bad behaviour on the part of the other parties, but there was no need to base the whole campaign on scandals. As a true Labourite, I would have liked to see a "new Labour party" overflowing with ideas for our beautiful Malta and presenting these ideas as the most important part of the electoral campaign. Of course this requires a lot of hard work but it is the only way that the Labour party can persuade the majority of the Maltese to vote for it.
I am sorry to say that Labour has an ugly past which should be buried once and for all.
The vast majority of Labourites are peaceful, hardworking, democratic people who deserve a Labour party they can truly be proud of.
