Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli said the Turin club would start talks with Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini for the possible signing of Brazilian striker Amauri.

"We are meeting Zamparini but I can't say if we are close to signing Amauri," he told Rai radio.

Cobolli Gigli dismissed speculation that the club might recall Marcello Lippi to replace Claudio Ranieri. "Ranieri is the right man for us and he'll be our coach in the future," he said.

He also said that forward Sebastian Giovinco and midfielder Claudio Marchisio would return from loan stints at Empoli at the end of the season and that full back Paolo De Ceglie would be recalled from co-owners Siena.
