Boy injured in firecracker mishap
A 14-year-old boy from Żebbuġ was seriously injured yesterday morning when a firecracker he was playing with in his hometown exploded in his hand.
The police said the incident took place at about 9.30 a.m. when the boy and another 13-year-old boy were playing with Chinese crackers in Vjal il-Ħelsien.
The firecracker exploded and the older boy sustained fractures, the police said.
The younger of the two boys, also from Żebbuġ, was uninjured.
