A 17-year-old British national was put under probation for a period of three years after he pleaded guilty to having stolen a number of cars.

The boy, from Marsa, who currently resides in a garage, cannot be named due to his age. He pleaded guilty to stealing a number of cars, in different localities between April 1 and 11.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke took into consideration the fact that the boy had no criminal record and the stolen vehicles have been returned.

Police Inspector Therese Sciberras prosecuted.
