BUPA Luxol (picture) chalked up their fourth honour of the 2007/08 season after a hard-earned, but deserved, victory over Depiro in the BOV KO final for men yesterday.

The result may suggest this was one-way traffic for John Tabone's team but the story was different as Luxol, who already claimed the MBA Shield, Super Cup and Louis Borg Cup this season, had to rely on all their experience to stave off the stiff challenge of modest Depiro.

In fact, Dalibor Mijatovic's team only wilted in the last session when they found no answers to Luxol's pressing game and outside shooting.

Luxol started the last quarter only eight points in front - 50-42. However, with Robert Azzopardi and Steve Schembri finally finding their touch there was no stopping the Gatorade League leaders who cantered home to victory.

This was BUPA Luxol's 14th success in the MBA KO competition.
