Two adolescents accused of theft were arraigned before Magistrate Doreen Clarke.

The adolescents, one 16 and the other 17 and from St Paul's, were accused of robbing a self-service store in Triq Il-Mosta, St Paul's two months ago, robbing a hotel in Triq Is-Sajjieda, St Paul's a month ago and robbing a grocer in Triq Sant'Aristarku, St Paul's earlier this month.

The accused refused to admit guilt and were released on bail on a personal guarantee of 200 euros and on the condition that both sign at the police station each morning. Meanwhile both have to be at home between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. and are under the supervision of a probation officer.

Inspector Carmelo Magri prosecuted.

In another arraignment, an adolescent was accused of robbing two vehicles earlier this week.

The adolescent, aged 17, born in England but living in Marsa stole a Chevrolet Kalos and a Honda 70 motorbike.

After admitting guilt, the accused was placed under the supervision of a probation officer.
