Man accused of stealing wallet and withdrawing cash

Anthony Borg, accused of stealing a wallet containing a number of credit cards was arraigned in front of Magistrate Doreen Clarke earlier this afternoon. Mr Borg, 53 from Gzira, is accused of stealing the wallet on February 4 at around 10.30 p.m.

Anthony Borg, accused of stealing a wallet containing a number of credit cards was arraigned in front of Magistrate Doreen Clarke earlier this afternoon.

Mr Borg, 53 from Gzira, is accused of stealing the wallet on February 4 at around 10.30 p.m. from Triq Sir William Reed, Gzira. He is also accused of stealing 500 euros from an ATM in Triq Manuel Dimech, Sliema on the same date.

The accused was released on bail on a guarantee of 200 euros and a personal guarantee of 1,000 euros. He also cannot leave the islands and has too sign at the Sliema police statio on Mondays and Fridays.

Inspector Keith Arnaud prosecuted.
