Milan step up push to sign Ronaldinho
AC Milan stepped up their push for Barcelona forward Ronaldinho, holding a meeting with the Catalan club's sports director Txiki Begiristain on Thursday, Spanish media reported.
Acting on behalf of Milan, agent Ernesto Bronzetti met Begiristain in Barcelona and later met Ronaldinho's agent and brother Roberto de Assis. Soccer - A prosecutor has decided not to take action against 11 people, including Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco, for being caught on new phone taps talking to former Juve general manager Luciano Moggi, the Italian soccer federation said in a statement.
Moggi has been banned from football for five years due to his involvement in Italy's match-fixing scandal.
Meanwhile, Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has denied reports he would not welcome Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko back to the club.
"I never said he could not play alongside Alexandre Pato. I just said the two players have similar characteristics," he told a news conference.
"In any case, I am convinced that if Sheva was to return, he would be very useful to this team."
