English football roundup-Cech recovering quickly from face injury
Injured Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech said he was recovering quickly from a face wound sustained in a training ground accident. Cech required multiple stitches to a deep cut to his lower lip on Sunday.
"It looks much better, it feels much better and it is not that swollen," he told Chelsea TV.
Second-placed Chelsea host Wigan Athletic on Monday.
* Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O'Hara is doubtful for Saturday's home match against Middlesbrough because of a bruised foot.
Goalkeeper Paul Robinson is still struggling with the ankle injury which kept him out of last weekend's match against Blackburn Rovers.
* Eighteen-year-old midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has signed a new two-year contract with Reading. The Iceland Under-21 international signed for the club in October, 2005. Reading play Fulham on Saturday).
* West Ham United manager Alan Curbishley said defender Matthew Upson should return after injury for Saturday's match at Bolton Wanderers. Upson has been out of action for the past month with a calf injury.
