Gordon Giltrap, one of UK's most respected guitarists, will be performing at the Manoel Theatre next month.
Mr Giltrap, who is being brought over by Masquerade Theatre Company, has been working in the music business for 40 years. He is regarded by many to be one of the great acoustic guitarists, with a unique, individual style.
Over the years he has worked and collaborated with many great names from rock musicians such as Brian May, Rick Wakeman and Midge Ure to the jazz virtuoso Martin Taylor, the classical guitarist Raymond Burley and the London Symphony Orchestra.
He has released 25 original studio albums, plus numerous live albums and compilations. His music and style cannot be categorised and continue to enchant and entice the audience.
Earning the respect of fans and fellow musicians alike, he was recently described by Queen guitarist Brian May as "one of the elite few who have truly become legendary in their own field in their lifetime".
In the Malta concert, on May 6, he will be playing a mixture of material taken from albums dating back to the late 1960s.
