Two men were today charged in court with disobeying and threatening police on the night of April 28, 2007.

Wayne Falzon, 22 from Birkirkara and Neville Cassar, 28 from Valletta were charged with being in possession of items that they could not justify having. They were also charged with threatening and disobeying police, driving in a dangerous manner and at speed. The alleged incidents happened in St Julian’s, Sliema and Birkirkara.

Mr Cassar was charged alone with also having committed a crime within the operative period of a suspended sentence. Mr Falzon was also accused of relapsing.

Police Inspector Martin Sammut prosecuted.
Lawyers Jose Herrera and Veronique Dalli appeared for Mr Falzon.
