Brazilian forward Ronaldinho is not looking for a move away from Barcelona, his brother and agent Roberto de Assis has said.

After being seen in England and Italy recently, De Assis wanted to play down the significance of his visits.

"My work is connected with the world of football and it is usual for me to travel and talk about personal matters when I think it is necessary," he said in an interview with Spanish soccer magazine Don Balon.

"Ronaldinho has a contract until 2010 and I am not looking for anything."

Media speculation has linked the Brazil forward with possible moves to Milan, Chelsea and Manchester City among others.

Local media have reported Barca are looking to offload the former World Player of the Year, who has only started 13 of the side's 31 league matches this season.

Under-fire Barca president Joan Laporta has denied the reports.

The 28-year-old has suffered from a string of minor injuries and fitness problems over the last 12 months and last week was ruled out for the rest of the campaign with a torn muscle.

"Ronaldinho is a little down at present. He has spent five weeks having specific treatment for a problem and now this has happened," De Assis added.

"What hurts him most is not being able to help his team at an important time."

When asked if he thought Ronaldinho may have played his last game for Barcelona, his brother replied: "It's a little early to say that.

"I hope he can be playing again soon. I think a player who has been in the hearts of Barca fans and this group of players deserves to leave on a high.

"Decisions need to be taken calmly at the right time, not in the heat of the moment or in difficult times."
