Ivan Saliba will next week launch his second solo exhibition, a stylistic interpretation of the link between earth's natural elements and artificial energy.

Entitled "+=-", the exhibition features seven detailed illustrations portraying momentary snapshots of magical actions.

Glowing stardust, simulated texture and the power of light all form part of this abstract interaction. Even though the artworks show improbability, the theme reflects the mutual needs of nature and technology to survive in harmony.

Mr Saliba loves experimenting with shape, colour and motion. Even though he has used several media, from wood to metal, fibre glass to paper, he finds it better to work at his computer and create his art through 3D vector-based programs.

The exhibition starts on April 16 at 2 Twenty-Two in Valletta and runs for three weeks.
