DNA tests on remains found at Naxxar explosion site

Forensic experts are carrying out DNA tests on the upper half of a body, found on the site of last month’s Naxxar explosion, to ascertain that it is the body of Paul Camilleri who is suspected to have died when fireworks blew up in his garage.

The remains were found on March 18 by a private contractor who was operating under the supervision of police and court staff.

The March 11 explosion, which brought down three houses, also killed Sina Sammut, 35, whose body was found on the following day by Civil Protection Department personnel.

It is almost a month since this tragedy took place and life goes on as if nothing really happened and fireworks keep burning and nobody is really bothered until perhaps we hear the next big bang.. This country full of saints and fireworks amazes me more and more every day.
