18 more casual election nominations

The Electoral Commission today received a further 18 nominations for the casual elections to fill 12 parliamentary seats vacated by candidates who at the general election were elected from two districts. Another 13 were received yesterday.

The nominations received today were:

Seat vacated by Helena Dalli (MLP) – Joeseph Abela, Etienne Grech, Rita Law

Fifth district

Seat vacated by George Vella (MLP) – Edric Micallef

Sixth district

Seat vacated by Charles Mangion (MLP) – Sebastian Muscat

Seventh district

Seat vacated by Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando (PN) – Jacqueline Azzopardi, David Vassallo

Eighth district

Seat vacated by Alfred Sant (MLP) –­ John Buttigieg
