"As I write, the European Court of Justice is debating whether or not to issue an interim injunction stopping hunting in spring."
This on April 5 from I. M. Beck, who recently, posing publicly in a T-shirt, showed his belief in the rule of law by declaring something illegal that not even the European Court of Justice is finding it easy to take an interim measureon.
Master of the cheap insult himself - to judge by the invective he liberally and often directs at hunters - I.M. Beck felt offended by a Federation for Hunting and Conservation - Malta (FKNK) member's (Carmel Farrugia from Birkirkara) reference to his son as "that virtuous paragon of newspaper photographers".
It does not seem to bother I.M. Beck that his son is at an age when he does not need papa to keep sharpening knives on his behalf. His son's colleagues seem to have taken all in their stride, but of course they fall short of being paragons.
Instead of repeating his futile wish to see hunting banned, I.M. Beck could at least reply to Mr Farrugia's very pertinent questions as per his letter The General Election And Hunters' Votes (April 2).
