We have been through the horrible experience of having at least four cats go missing from the same home. Only people who care for and love cats would know what that feels like. You just keep hoping and praying they would be turning up any minute.
These cats are more special because they had all been rescued as kittens, bottle-fed, cared for and neutered when they were old enough. When something like this happens, you get the terrible feeling of being surrounded by cowards, who, instead of confronting the cats' owner, if there was a problem, chose instead to take it out on these defenceless animals.
We have searched everywhere for the missing cats. We made contacts with the animals' sanctuary, as a white van was seen in the area on the day. We asked all the neighbours but had no luck whatsoever. As a last resort, we are offering a reward of €200 for any information which might throw light on this mystery.
The cats disappeared on March 27, from the end part of Andrew Cunningham Street, Qawra. Two of the cats had collars on, and one has a shorter back leg due to an old injury. Anyone with any information may phone 9901 5313 or 9988 0208. To the person/persons behind this, we just wish that one day you will know what it feels like to have something precious taken from you; always hoping you will get it back and living in the hope which will never be fulfilled. Shame on you.
