Pozzallo supports Malta-Sicily Challenge

Pozzallo is keen to be part of the Malta-Sicily Kayak Challenge. This was confirmed by Mayor Giuseppe Sulsenti when briefed of the event by Wilfred Sultana, chairman of the organising committee, at the Sicilian town.

As a result of this meeting the fleet of yachts providing escort to the Kayak Challenge participants will be hosted with free berthing facilities in Pozzallo harbour for their weekend stay.

Since the first Malta-Sicily Windsurf Race in 1984, Pozzallo has featured prominently in many nautical events originating from Malta.

The event, scheduled to be held on June 27, is being organised by the Wishbone Solidarity Group, and is being promoted as an occasion to raise funds in aid of the Malta Cancer Foundation whereby the official slogan of the event will be 'Kayak for Cancer'.

The sponsorship pool so far includes: GasanMamo Insurance, Farrugia Investments, Datatrak plc, Go Sicily Properties, Tower Supermarkets, Virtu Ferries, and Errea by TuttoSport.
