Michael Ballack scored in the fourth minute to spur Chelsea to a 2-0 home win over Fenerbahce and a place in the Champions League semi-finals for the fourth time in five years on Tuesday.

Chelsea, who won 3-2 on aggregate after a 2-1 defeat in the first leg last week, go into a semi-final against fellow Premier League side Liverpool.

Midfielder Ballack rose unmarked at the near post to Joe Cole's cross from the right and headed down into the bottom far corner with the goalkeeper rooted to the spot.
