Lowell files appeal, says he will save Malta
Norman Lowell, leader of the right-wing Imperium Europa party this morning filed a 64-page appeal from his March 27 conviction of inciting racial hatred and insulting the President of Malta.
Speaking outside the courts, Mr Lowell said that he would save Malta from the disastrous situation it has found itself in because of property developers, and return it to the paradise in the Mediterranean it once was in the 1800s.
He added that he "would make all the Europids, all one billion of them come to Malta on a pilgrimage to see the temples”.
"We have had 20 years of squalid socialism, under the saviour of Malta, when we had a telephone directory made up of 60 pages all under the same surname, no one would know if it was the priest or the village whore, that was the “stamp” of socialism. Today we have the stamp of a prime minster who used to be the president of the catholic action group, but still the same tyranny. His uncle used to condemn people to a life in hell because they used to read a newspaper, his nephew now has the dubious honour of putting people in prison because they wrote a geo-political article on the internet. Malta and Communist China are the only countries in the world that put people in prison for writing on the internet,” Mr Lowell said.
Lawyer Emmy Bezzina said that they had received messages of support from all over the world.

There have been many people who have done very much the same thing as he is doing, and given the right circumstances, the kind of opinions he holds and the way he portrays them with his extremism, can be very very dangerous. Luckily in Malta we are more grounded and are not mainly made up of disgruntled simple folk looking for a savior. Fortunately we also have a legal system that is set up to recognize and do something about Inciting Racial Hatred.
Politicians with these skills have led countries before however history has thought us well and the public are more exposed, informed and less tolerable to racial hatred. As such, these skills now-a-days are easier transfered to the likes of cults and new religions rather than the general public.
That this is impossible, cannot be challenged.
Let us accept Norman Lowell with his ideas but let us not allow him to play with our emotions, fomenting fear and repugnance for that which is different. Each and every one of us Maltese have great power to rise to new challenges. And this great power is rooted in the values our people hold most dear; the value of solidarity, hospitality and magnanimity amongst others.
Mr. Joe Galea:-
I never hated Norman Lowell. I don't agree with anything he says. FI don't have any time to waste following him.
If one has the bible as a guide, Deutronomy. Thou shalt not add a word of God and nor detract from it. Politicians have ruined most things, more taxes and regulations. People are fed up, but do not understand what is truly going on. According to God's perfect laws of liberty, every 50 years all wealth and land is redistributed to all, so no poor could exist. Any we now have socialists and democristians who are party to mainly corporate bosses who want politicians to engage in laws favoring them. I can write more on this subject, but yes the laws are evil in nature, and no professor or politician is going to prove otherwise.
Both my questions were simple and I find no answer in your comments apart from personal attacks which is typical of extremists.
All I find is a total digression from the point .
As for voting - All the Lowell supporters you said there are could have voted 1 for their party and continued on Norman since we have a single transferable vote system here.
The results other parties achieved are reflected by votes.
Don't tell me that the 80+ votes lowell got reflects the support of 90%.
Let's face it we all agree with what Lowell says in the depths of our hearts, let's not be hypocrites. Most of the people condemning him are those who go to church everyday, because it's still free of charge. As soon as they get out of the church they start gossiping and disseminating malicious acts against their neighbours.
The only problem with Lowell is that what he says is veritable, but the way he says it is wrong and hilarious at times.
Besides, the people first have to believe in the solutions on offer to vote for these parties. I am one of those 90% (where did this statistic come from?) but personally don't like IE or AN's solutions. Therefore, my vote didn't go to them.
Also, in a country full of problems, most people don't vote for a party based on the stance on one single, solitary issue.
Nobody can prevent you from keeping to live in your "wonderland". Don`t try to mix up the personal opinions of the Maltese electorate on one particular issue with whom they give the number 1 preference too.
Maybe it is not 90%, but I am sure that the absolute majority of the Maltese public is not happy with the way the illegal immigrants situation is developing. Of course, several media spin-doctors try to give a different impression, but the truth is that the concern is quite widespread.
The problem with Lowell is that when making his point he goes to the extremes. Maybe 99% of the Maltese persons wouldn`t approve what Lowell suggested, but it doesn `t mean that the same 99% approve the freedom that these people have been given through open centres.
But of course you are probably part of the largest minority (because with the same reasoning that you use when comparing the number of votes obtained by Lowell to how many support his ideas, it means that less than half of the Maltese approve the ideas of the party in power) that doesn`t want to accept that something can be wrong in this country (unless it is someone you don`t agree with) and like the ostrich you would like to bury your head in the ground and imagine a utupia.
In the past (even the recent past) there were quite a number of foreigners coming from practically every race, who came here legally, worked legally, paid their dues, and were very much welcomed by the Maltese public .. .. but that doesn`t mean that all those who come here to work (because that is what they do) while getting whatever benefit (including accomodation) is given to them must be accepted at all costs .... and I don`t think that here skin colour has to be a factor .. because for all that matters they may be from Africa, they may be from Phillipnes and they may be from ex-Yoguslav republics.
Considering that your first statement is true (90% of the Maltese....) I ask :
1) Where do you get these figures from ? and 2) Why was what you stated not reflected in the votes he got in the last election?...The votes were secret so those 90% or a good part of them had a good chance to show their support a month ago.
The problem with Lowell is that he adds extremism and sensationalism to his thoughts .... but if you take away those two parts, I am pretty sure that many agree with the root cause of his concern ..... its just that they are afraid to admit it and prefer to play for the audience.

If you have any time to waste keep in following 'Imperium Ewropa' and Mr. Norman Lowell.
Everything he says is ' BLA SENS'.
We shall be ' Le isole dei Famosi' , no more ignorance, we shall move 'Forward !!'.... to transforming Malta to the paradise of 1800s,where there were goats in the streets, drainage bil-Fossa,no electricity but...... 'La luce della candela' !!! which was considered an aphrodisiac during those nights.
A pure paradise on earth.
We shall become one of the wonders of the world by time.
What enters 'la mia mente' is what 'Imperatore' Nerone did to Rome..... when he wanted to rebuild it his way !!!
He BURNED it first !!
