A Maltese Night will be held in Brussels on Wednesday to celebrate Malta's adoption of the euro and membership of the Schengen zone.
The event is being organised by the Maltese delegation in the EPP-ED Group of the European Parliament and will feature traditional Maltese folk music and a reception of Maltese food and drink.
The event is expected to attract about 600 guests from the EU institutions, including Maltese nationals working in Brussels.
Commissioner Joe Borg and Malta's Permanent Representative in Brussels, Richard Cachia Caruana, will inaugurate the event.
