Casual election nominations open tomorrow

Nominations for casual elections to fill 12 parliamentary seats vacated by candidates who were elected from two electoral districts on March 8 will be received between tomorrow and next Saturday, the Electoral Commission said.

The vacated seats were the given up by Robert Arrigo in the ninth district, Evarist Bartolo and Dolores Cristina in the 10^th district, Tonio Borg in the 11^th district, Tonio Fenech in the 12^th district, Helena Dalli in the third district, Lawrence Gonzi and Michael Falzon in the second district , Charles Mangion in the sixth district, Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando in the seventh district , Alfred Sant in the eighth district and George Vella in the fifth.

The casual elections are expected to be held in the middle of next week at Naxxar counting hall.
