Two Maltese Eurovision Song Contest entries have been doing well in South Africa after being recorded by popular South African singer Tobi Jooste , who included them in his new CD Onthau Jy (Do you remember) at the end of last year.

They are Chiara’s Angel, which made it to second place in 2005, and Fabrizio Faniello’s I Do, which slumped to a disappointing last place in 2006.

Both songs are interpreted in a mixture of English and Afrikaans and are accompanied by a video clip.

The CD also features adaptations of Eurovision songs from Iceland and Celine Dion's Eurovision winner Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi of 1988.

A previous song by Fabrizio Faniello (picture), Another Summer Night, was also recorded in Afrikaans soon after its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest of 2001.
