Prof. Ludger Honnefelder, a distinguished German professor who in 2005 was appointed as the Romano Guardini Professor for Philosophy of Religion and Catholic Studies at Berlin's Humboldt-University, will deliver a series of lectures in Malta next week.

He will speak on 'Christian Theology and the Universe of Science according to St Albert the Great' on Tuesday at 6.30 p.m. at the Aula Magna, Foundation for International Studies, St Paul Street, Valletta, as the Faculty of Theology's main speaker at the academic evening in honour of St Thomas Aquinas organised annually by the Għaqda Studenti tat-Teoloġija.

He will give a lecture on 'Embryonic Stem Cell Research - Arguments of the Ethical Debate in Germany' on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the University's Lecture Theatre 1 and on 'Bioethics and the Normative Concept of Human Personhood' on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Science Lecture Theatre.

All students as well as the general public are invited to attend.
