A 19-year-old man from Birkirkara was yesterday charged with stealing BOV cheques between August 1 and December 31, 2006.

The man, who cannot be named because he was a minor when the alleged crime took place, was also charged with defrauding the person whom he had stolen the bank cheques from.

Lawyers Stephen Tonna Lowell and Joseph Giglio were defence counsel.
