Minnows' mighty showing
A word of praise goes to the Maltese national football team in view of the surprising result in the friendly international football match against Liechtenstein played recently on our shores, with the locals emerging as winners with a 7-l score line.
The indomitable Coventry lad Michael Mifsud was again in unforgettable form, scoring five goals.
The only sour note of this outome was the poor response in attendance from the supporters, considering the great possibility of achieving a positive result against such a minnow team on an international level, one such as ourselves.
