Labour's new leader
Many have felt it is their right to comment on what the MLP's future leadership should be like.
I believe that the Peppis, Daphnes and Lous of this world have a right for a say in the choice of the MLP's future leader, just as much as we, mere mortals, had a right to join in the Borg Olivier ousting conspiracy theories in 1977, or the Gonzi "race among friends" perceptions of 2004. Is it a case of godly geese and mortal gander?
Much indicates that today's scenario is much richer than that of the early 1980s when in December 1981, the PN proclaimed the third Labour government to be perverse and illegitimate in spite of the fact that it was a perfectly legal and constitutional government and enjoyed recognition from the international community. For the benefit of the ignorant young and others with a selective memory I point out that in the 1971 and 1976 elections, when there was a minority electoral result, the PN did not shy away from insisting on repeated recounts of votes in the hope of gaining power based on seat majority. But, it seems, for the PN, the rule of law becomes the rule only when it works in their favour!
Again, a case of holy geese!
As for the new Labour leader, I suggest that the person should be one willing, able and ready to question seriously the legitimacy, legality and hence validity (or otherwise) of the new Gonzi government. Then, act as the situation dictates, in the interest of this land and its people.

Indeed, lucky for us the PN fought for our right to comment freely, and gave us independent TV and radio. Albert, you will not be the only one waiting to see what the new MLP leader's first move will be. Joining us will be the international community.

"question seriously the legitimacy, legality and hence validity (or otherwise) of the new Gonzi government" ???
Don't you people ever give up?? Such bitterness is not healthy you know. Get over it and move on...you'll have (another) shot at it in 5 years time...

Wishful thinking, Mr Albert Spiteri.
The fact remains that labour will spend the next 5 years in opposition. and who knows maybe 10 or more.

"Yes, whatever the PN says the MLP leader race was and would always be more transperent then that of the PN ".
Mr Buttigieg you should ask Lino Spiteri's opinion about that.

Though I agree that such likes as Peppi, Daphne and Bondi has their rights to express themselves as they feel or like to, I do not agree at all with the behaviour of such so called journalists. There ways and means howe one should deal with such self made 'garbaged journalism'. The hate they traspire and try to pass over to others is condemnable to say the least. But more on this and how to deal with such 'garbaged journalism' some other time.
Yes, whatever the PN says the MLP leader race was and would always be more transperent then that of the PN . The PN's past about the subject is disgusting and shameful. The 'holy geese' AS is referring to, are just plain diabolical hypocrites.
As soon as the new labour Leader is elected , this perverse situation wouls surely be the first priority on the agenda of the New MLP Leader. Waiting for a couple of months is now the name of the game.
