Fund-raising for family victim of Naxxar blast
A car boot sale will be held at Ir-Razzett tal-Ħbiberija in Marsascala between 7 a.m. and noon on Sunday to raise money for one of the families who lost it home in last month's fireworks explosion in Naxxar.
During the first sale, held on March 16, €750 (Lm320) were collected but this time the organisers aim to collect much more for the Bugeja family.
Vicky and Edward Bugeja and their daughters Sarah and Rachel lost their home and all of their belongings during the devastating March 11 blast that shook Triq Ħal Dgħejf - killing two people, demolishing three houses and badly damaging others. Mother-of-two Sina Sammut was killed in the explosion and the other fatality was Paul Camilleri, owner of the garage where the blast occurred.
Mr Camilleri's home was situated between the Sammut and Bugeja homes.
Several fund-raising initiatives have been held for both families since the blast.
Those who cannot make the car boot sale can still help the Bugejas by depositing money in the BOV account 4001 7049 454 (the Bugeja family Naxxar accident fund).

The site explains what the movement offers and how it provides for patients and families who are facing the challenge of coping with cancer. The movement provides support for health care providers.
There is also a referral form and contact details to facilitate requests for services.
