Fireworks and music at the Granaries tomorrow

Another fireworks event??!! Oh my goodness.....the almost daily summer 'festas' and the annual grand harbour fireworks festival are not enough? No wonder that fireworks factories are thriving as is fireworks production at illegal factories! I just cannot understand this laissez faire situation to the detriment of our society and the country's credibility. As I have said in various postings, the fireworks problem revolves around consumption and not only on penalties. There is no doubt that consumption is excessive and needs to be controlled as soon as possible. Tourists love these events...but talk to them about this situation, they'll never approve or admire our lack of control and irresponsibilty.
