By 2010, all EU member states must relate their national qualifications levels, by using a learning outcomes approach, to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). By 2012, EU member states should ensure that the necessary steps are taken so that reference to the EQF will be introduced into individual qualifications documents such as certificates and diplomas.

The Malta Qualifications Council (MQC) is the national coordination point for the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). In order to promote the significance of the EQF to mobility, transparency, transferability and quality assurance, the MQC is holding a series of EQF information meetings on the developments of the EQF in the context of the Malta Qualifications Framework. Meetings are being held at the MQC premises in Sta Luċija as indicated above.

Registration, on a first-come first-served basis, is now open. Only 30 registered participants can attend each session. A registration fee of €15 will cover material provided and refreshments at the end of the session. Registration can be effected by sending an e-mail to Valerie Attard, communications manager of MQC, on valerie.a.attard@gov.mt, indicating the session one wishes to attend. Electronic invitations will be sent prior to every session.
