Heritage spot in a rut

Once again I want to express my utter disgust at the present state of the San Ġwann cart ruts. I have just met a coach load of German tourists trying to distinguish the famous canals buried under the huge amount of weeds, not to mention the amount of dogs' poop all over the place. I felt so ashamed. It's a good thing they didn't bother to take any photos.

The unhealthy state of this prehistoric relic must be seen to at once by the authorities concerned. Until then I am for the third time suggesting that The Times stops advertising this site as Places of Interest to visit. And are the green wardens still around? If yes, they must make their presence felt in this area.

If only the place is constantly kept in the state shown in this photo. Very little effort is needed.
