Charity ride
Members of the police force who are motorcycle enthusiasts and their friends yesterday raised €1,165 for Dar tal-Providenza from a charity ride from Floriana to the home in Siġġiewi.
The enthusiasts, some 190 on their motorcycles, met near the police garage in Floriana and drove to the homes to raise funds.
At the end of the event the motorcyclists presented the money to Anton Vella, administrator of the homes.
The group had organised another two charity rides in support of charities last year.
