Catherine Attard, a registered occupational psychologist, is Famalco Holdings group's human resources consultant. Ms Attard has been assigned to conduct a group restructuring and reorganisation exercise - managing, training and developing the group's employees and manpower planning and recruitment.

In 1996, Ms Attard completed a Masters degree in occupational psychology (M.Sc.) at the University of Hertfordshire, UK, after having graduated as a psychologist from the University of Malta. Prior to her tertiary education, Ms Attard acquired experience in the private sector for eight years. Since 1996, she has been working in both human resources management, and organisational and human resources consultancy in various industries and sectors.

At Falcon Holdings her role involves executing occupational and human resources related functions, including recruitment, assessment and selection, training and development, performance management, job analysis and job evaluation, job redesign and organisation of work and organisational analysis and restructuring. She also assists individuals and job seekers with their own career management requirements, including career guidance and CV development.

Commenting on the appointment, Hermann Mallia, director of Famalco, said: "We want to enable our staff to focus on what they do best, so the engagement of Ms Attard will enable each member of our team to upgrade their skills and find their rightful place in the organisation.
