The Malta Society of Model Makers is holding its annual exhibition at the Catholic Institute, Floriana, in which around 400 models will be on display. The models range from standard model kits up to complex scratch build models in various scales and categories such as marine, military aircraft and armour vehicles. As usual, visitors will have the opportunity to meet members of the society to get a better idea of the techniques used in building the models on display.

This year a group of foreign modellers will also be taking part, as a result of ongoing twinning projects between the local society and foreign model clubs throughout Europe. As a result of these projects, Maltese modellers will be able to participate in foreign exhibitions.

The exhibition was opened last Thursday when the president of the society thanked all the sponsors who helped the MSMM throughout the years.

This year also marks the society's fifth anniversary. In these five years the number of modellers and the public response has been growing, the president added.

The exhibition is open today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information on the club, visit .
