Rooms in Dingli cliffs without permits
Last Sunday, after a hearty Easter Day lunch with the family, my girlfriend and I decided to take a walk at Dingli cliffs.
Since we were not the only ones who did so, our walk did not turn out to be as relaxed as we hoped it would be, and we soon found ourselves making our way down the slopes away from the usual walking route.
To our astonishment, although the way down was not one of the easiest, we found that we were not the only ones there - we realised that we were disturbing bird trappers and hunters who were very well camouflaged amid the greenery. It seems that hunters and bird catchers have built a whole village for themselves down there with rooms built in concrete, caves converted into rooms and closed down etc... all well camouflaged so that the birds coming from the sea would not notice them.
Can these people be allowed to build such rooms there? I seriously doubt it. But will the government do something about these and other rooms being built illegally all over Malta?

Sorry James, but it seems to me that Adrian's original argument was if people are allowed to build down there and other places all pver Malta ? You seem to have missed the point completely . And rest assured that the majority of hunters do not seem to think they're above the law.

That's right Robert, you try to dimenish the illegalities which were witnessed by Adrian and his girlfriend. As has already been pointed out the Spring hunting season has not been opened this year and also it was a Sunday afternoon. For some reason so0 called 'hunters' seem to think they are above the law.

Adrian, I think that you and your girlfriend need to take another walk - this time to the nearest optician. Are you sure about what you've seen because I still have to meet the hunter or trapper who catches birds from inside a closed down, cave converted room (your words not mine).
