Have you ever wondered why you can still see an image of an object after you have closed your eyes? Or how much energy is energy needed to fly a rocket? Or how you can estimate your age by the sounds you hear?

These are a few of the questions which will be answered at the National Student Travel Foundation (NSTF) Science Week being held between April 7 and 13 at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity, Valletta.

The week offers a hands-on taste of science for students of all ages, educators and researchers and is also open to the general public. Schools wishing to participate in a tailor-made programme during school hours are to contact Mariella-Pia Tabone, NSTF's head of educational and cultural affairs, on tel. 2558 8241 or e-mail mtabo@nsts.org by Wednesday.

Air Malta, the Malta Council for Science and Technology, Malta Enterprise, the British Council, the Malta Chamber of Scientists, the Science centre within the Department for Curriculum Management and E-learning, MCAST's Institute of Art and Design, Agenda Bookshop and St James Cavalier are supporting the event.
