Obituary
ATTARD. On March 27, at Boffa Hospital, JOSEPH FRANCIS, aged 76, of Msida, passed away peacefully, after a long illness, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved and devoted wife Joyce née Muscat, his daughters Josianne, Elaine and her husband Francis Bugeja, Vicky and her husband Keith Abela Fitzpatrick, his son Etienne and his wife Melanie, his granddaughters Rebekah, Lara, Martina and Sophie, his brother and sisters Carol and Rose Attard, Pia and Victor Coppini, Marie Louise and Paul Busuttil, Helen and Tony Cefai, and Benny Giunta, his father-in-law Ġużi Muscat, his in-laws, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Boffa Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Helen's Basilica, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to The Malta Hospice Movement will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord grant him eternal rest.
BRADLEY. On March 28, ANNE Bradley MBE, our darling Anne left us, to be remembered with much love always by her loving husband Dennis, her children Alison, Antony and Sara and their partners, her grandchildren Emma, Toby, Henry and Lara and the very latest addition her great-granddaughter Ellie Louise, all of whom live in England. In Malta her darling sisters, Elizabeth Zarb, wife of John Zarb (formerly of the American Embassy, Floriana) and Polly March, who left her home in Wiltshire and has spent the last 16 months caring for her, will always remember her love of life and laughter, Pat Armitage, a dear family friend, who has also spent so much time here helping both Polly and Anne, her nephew Julian Zarb and his wife Rosette, her cousins, Rita Bonello, Antoinette Debono, Patricia Mifsud, Monica Grima (of London) and Miriam Cassar. Other friends and colleagues who will remember her with affection are the locally engaged staff at the British High Commission Malta, staff at the British Council in London and in Malta (where Anne was Director for some time), as well as colleagues in the Education Division, the University of Malta and St James Cavalier, (where she was Special Projects Co-ordinator).
ANNE would like to thank her very special support group who did a fantastic job - Betty, Jill, Lorna, Sue, Sylvie, Nat, Daniella, Diana, and of course Liffey and Beamish, her much loved dogs. A celebration of Anne's life and work will be announced at a later date.
COLCLOUGH. On March 26, JAMES WILLIAM, aged 86, widower of Molly Cynthia, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss, his only son Ian James and his wife Anna, his grandchildren Liam and Kyra, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Villa Messina, Rabat, today for Immaculate Conception parish church, Ta' l-Ibraġ, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord grant him eternal rest.
SCERRI. On March 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAUL (Customs director general), aged 53, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his beloved and devoted wife Lucy née Sammut, his dearest daughter and son Charmaine and Kevin, their fiancées David and Nikita, his wife's parents Tereż and Ġużeppi, his brothers and sister and their spouses, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8 a.m. for Mosta parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m.
Requiem Masses
Tomorrow's 10 a.m. Mass at the Holy Family Parish Church, Iklin, will be offered for the repose of the soul of SERGIO GHIRLANDO.
Today being the 21st anniversary of the death of MARIKA NAUDI, née Hili, a Mass for the repose of her soul will be said at 6.30 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception parish church, Ta' l-Ibraġ, St Andrew's. The attendance of relatives and friends will be appreciated.
